Gionee has had what one can call a good start to 2017. The Chinese company announced their flagship, the Gionee M2017 ahead of the pack. The said device sports a monstrous 7,000 mAh battery and a host state of the art technology. That said, Gionee has announced another device dubbed the Steel 2. Inside the Gionee Steel 2’s metal shell, a 3GBof RAM clubbed with 32GB/64GB internal memory and a MediaTek’s MT6737 64-bit quad-core processor can be found. The device is powered by a non-removable 4,000mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow layered with Gionee’s proprietary Amigo 3.0 OS.
For photos and videos, the Gionee Steel 2 is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper. The device houses a fingerprint scanner in its home button and comes with the volume and power button placed on the right hand side of the device. The device supports a Bluetooth, WiFi, Hotspot, 4G LTE connectivity as well as a host of geo location functions. The Gionee Steel 2 comes in Jazz Gold and Gold Black color variants. The device is priced at 1,299 Yuan ($190) for the 16GB variant, while the price of the 32GB model is still unknown. The device is already available for pre-order in China, however, information about its international availability is still unknown. Rest assured we will be bringing an update when the unknowns are made known by the company
