Spec Wise , Samsung Galaxy S5 And HTC M8 Are Powerful smartphones and it’ld be difficult to rank one smartphone higher than the other. Galaxy S5 Vs HTC M8

Design
A lot of Tech Geeks have criticised samsung’s attitude towards the design of its phones and it seems the company isn’t ready to change. Personally , I feel samsung should have done more work on the design of Galaxy S5 , a metallic body could have made this device ‘perfect’.Classy as it is , samsung galaxy s5 features a sleek dust and water resistant plastic body that weighs 145g light and 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm In Dimension.. It has IP67-certified dust and water proof body and can stay 1m Deep In water for more than 30Mins.

On the other hand HTC M8 Features a more flashy body , one that gadget lovers will definately love..Its metallic body gives you a nice feeling when felt on hand , Although it is 15g heavier than galaxy , currently weighing 160g.

Display Wise , HTC M8 has a
CD3 capacitive
touchscreen and 16M colors. Its screen is 5′ inch large and sized 1080 x 1920 pixels (~441 ppi pixel density).
A Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and HTC Sense UI v6 are also part of the features of M8’s Display.

Meanwhile Galaxy S5 Sports A 5.1′ inch screen , .1 bigger that HTC M8 With 5inch screen. Galaxy S5 Also Sports a
Super AMOLED capacitive
touchscreen with 16M colors , Sized at 1080 x 1920 pixels (~432 ppi pixel density) with Protection Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and TouchWiz UI.

Design Verdict : HTC M8 WINS! . Based on the cost of production of the body I will give it to HTC M8 .. HTC M8 features a metallic body which is more expensive to produce that galaxy s5 with a plastic body.

Hardware
In This aspect , both devices features some really impressive processors. It will be very difficult to separate one from the other as both of them have the same specs.. We were all expecting Galaxy S5 to feature QualComm Snapdragon 805 but samsung wasn’t thinking of that now, maybe its future devices will feature this fast chipset..

Galaxy S5 features Qualcomm MSM8974AB
Snapdragon 801 Chipset , Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU , Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM all powered by the latest version of android , 4.4Kitkat.

HTC M8 Features Exactly the same processor as samsung galaxy galaxy s5 , only that its CPU is available in 2Variants.. A Qualcomm MSM8974AB
Snapdragon 801 Chipset ,
Quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz (US/
EMEA) and 2.5 GHz (Asia, China) Krait 400 and Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB RAM And Runs On Android 4.4Kitkat Version.

Hardware Verdict : Draw.. Too Close To Call As Both Of They Have The Same Hardware.

Camera

If You’re Looking for a powerful device with a very sharp camera then you might want to consider getting galaxy s5.. Personally , I was expecting galaxy s5 to surpass xperia z1 and lumia 1020’s 20MP camera but 16MP camera on galaxy s5 isn’t bad at all.. With Galaxy s5 on your hands , be rest assured your pictures will be of high quality..

A 16 MP, 5312 x 2988 pixels,
phase detection autofocus,
LED flash Camera on galaxy s5 makes it perfect for picture lovers who just can’t get enough of themselves.

Meanwhile HTC really disappointed me in this aspect.. What tha hell! A 4MP Camera on HTC M8? That’s too poor!! A Phone as cool as M8 Should sport nothing less than 10MP Camera Pixel.. Now compare M8’s 4MP Camera To Galaxy S5’s 16MP Camera , You Have A Difference Of 12MP!! Comeone HTC!! This Is way too poor.. This actually means camera wise , Galaxy S5 is 4 x more sharper than HTC 8.. Nevertheless HTC M8 is still a good phone an although I don’t think picture lovers will fancy purchasing.
Camera Verdict : Galaxy S5 WINS!! 16MP Camera Vs 4MP Camera Is Definately No Match.

Battery
Both devices have powerful specs and so one will expect their battery power to also be strong.. Gs5 Has a battery capacity of 2800mAh with standby time of Up to 390 h and talk time of 21h , while HTC M8 has a non removable Li-Po battery with 2600mAh capacity , with standby time Up to 271 h (2G) / Up to 496 h
(3G) and Talktime Up to 14 h (2G) / Up to 20 h (3G). So its just 200mAh Capacity Between Them..

Battery Verdict : SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 WINS!!.. 200mAh Powerful Than HTC M8

Overall Both devices are exceptional devices with few flaws.. Galaxy S5 has nice hardware , nice camera and nice battery , the only flaw is in the design aspect , one area I felt samsung should have worked more on.. HTC M8 Has nice hardware , nice design , nice batterylife , the only flaw is in the camera aspecs.. 4MP Vs Galaxy S5’s 16MP Is definately no match.. So Here’s my final verdict,

Final Verdict : TOO CLOSE TO CALL…Both Devices are exceptional , Rating one over the other wouldn’t be fair..
