Huawei introduce it’s latest line of devices the Nova and Nova Pro at the IFA


The ongoing 2016 IFA has seen Huawei introduce a new line of device, the Nova line of smartphones. This line of device fall under the mid-end category of smartphones, because their pioneer devices are mid-end devices, top mid-end devices to be specific.

Huawei launched the Nova series with two smartphones, Huawei Nova and the Huawei Nova pro. Both devices are cut in similar fashion in terms specs, design and build, with little difference to tell them apart.


The Nova is the lower device of the two. It comes with a 5-inch, IPS LCD screen with a 1080p resolution. Under the devices brushed aluminium body, an octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2GHz can be found. The processor is clubbed with 3GB RAM and a 32GB native storage that is expandable by memory card upto 128GB.


For pictures and videos, Huawei Nova is equipped with an 8MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera equipped with LED flash. The device is powered by a 3020mAh non-removable battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The retail price of the Nova is set at €399 (well over 100 thousand Naira).


The Nova Pro is much like the Nova but differs in screen size, rear camera pixel size, battery and pricing. Nova Pro comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1080p resolution. The devices sports a 16MP rear camera and is powered by a non-removable 4,000mAh battery. Both devices sport a finger print scanner that is placed beneath their rear cameras. The retail price of the Nova Pro is set at €429 (well over 120k). Both devices will be available internationally by October.
