Huawei’s Huawei Mate line is arguably one of the company’s best product line. One can correctly say that the Mate 9 helps Huawei finish each year on a positive note. Each iteration of Mate device comes with mouthwatering features that make the device worth owning. They are customarily unveiled towards the end of the year, November to be precise. Consequently, as November draws near, we expect the unveiling of the new Mate device, Huawei Mate 9. Huawei will keep to custom as they are set to unveil the device on 3 November. However, the media is not waiting for the Chinese company to take the wraps off their new device before they can find out what it looks like or the specifications it comes with. On this note, we have been seeing a number of leaks for the past number of days and the latest shows the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro in lilac colour almost full sized.
The latest leak comes courtesy of Evan Blass, the notoriously impressive leaker of all things upcoming tech. Based on the leaked photos of the Mate 9 and 9 Pro, it shows that both devices will be coming with same sized screens but differing in curvature. The Mate 9 Pro screen is curved while the Mate 9 comes with a flat screen. The image further reveals that both devices will be coming with camera’s jointly created by Huawei and Leica, the same dual-lens Leica Summarit H 1:2.2/27 ASPH camera array found on the Huawei P9. Both devices will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jacket, a fingerprint scanner, an assumedly Type-C USB port.
Other features remain unconfirmed, however, the Mate 9 and 9 Pro are expected to come with Huawei’s latest processor, Kirin 960. Both devices should run the latest Android OS, Android 7.0 Nougat and should have a 4GB RAM/64GB or 128GB ROM or a 6GB RAM/256GB ROM for its memory processes.
That’s all we have on the upcoming device for now. Be sure to follow AndroidNigeria for a close update in the devices launch. In the meantime, what do you expect to see in the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro? Share your thoughts in the comment box below.
