LG unveils the much anticipated LG V20 and it impresses considerably

LG has unveiled the LG V20, a sequel to last year’s LG V10. The LG V10 impressed considerably well as at the time of its release. This led to the V10 racking up good numbers in terms of the number of units sold. The LG V20 follows its predecessor closely by retaining its famous specifications and coming with some mouth watering specifications. That said let’s have a look at the LG V20’s specifications.

LG V20 comes with a more rugged and lighter body having an aluminum AL6013 body. According to LG the aluminum is same as the one used in making planes and ships. The device carries a 5.7-inch Quad HD IPS screen on the front. LG V20 comes with a larger and brighter, 64-nits secondary screen, which sits just atop the primary screen.

Under the V20’s aluminum body, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clubbed 4GB RAM and a 64GB expandable internal storage can be found.

For pictures, videos and everything in-between, LG V20 is equipped with a dual camera, a 16MP camera with 16:9 capturing ratio, laser and phase detection auto focus. An 8MP camera with 135 degree wide angle capturing capability.

The rear camera is equipped with EIS, (video stabilization based on gyroscopes. The V20 is the first device to sport Qualcomm’s proprietary EIS), and DIS stabilization (for tracking an objects motion and following its line of movement). For selfies, the LG V20 is packed with a 5MP camera equipped with f/1.9 lens and a wide angle capturing capability.

The sound system of the V20 is another major highlight of the device. The device boasts of four DACs for very clear sound and offers 75-step fine volume as well as L/R balance control. The device comes with B&O headphones, a lossless playback feature and it B&O tuned. The LG V20 boasts of recording lossless audio 24bit/48kHz along with a video.

The device will be entering the market in Titan, Silver and Pink colours. LG says the V20 will be available in the Q3, which is the end of this month. However, the South Korean is yet to reveal the price tag of the device. Rest assured it will carry a price Tag for a high-end device but perhaps not a premium one i.e., over the bar price Tag that some devices carry as a result of being the flagship phone of a company and being touted as a luxury phone.

The specifications of the LG V20 are certainly impressive but we should wait to know it’s price tag before we can say it is absolutely impressive, what do you think?
