Gionee has taken the wraps off the S10 and it did not come alone, as the device was unwrapped alongside two other junior variants. The S10 is the high-end device of the three while the Gionee S10B is a mid-entry device and the Gionee S10C is an entry-level device.
The device’s specifications fit their respective categories. We already know that Gionee S10 is the first device with four cameras, dual cameras on the front and rear sides. Spec wise, the four cameras represent 16-megapixel rear camera paired with an 8-megapixel secondary camera (equipped DUAL tone LED flash) and a 20-megapixel front camera along with an 8-megapixel secondary camera. The body of the S10 is cut from metal; it carries a 5.5-inch Full HD screen layered by a 2.5D curved glass. The device is equipped with 6GB RAM clubbed with 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB. For processors, Gionee S10 sports a 2.45GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 with Mali-T880 GPU.
The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat layered with Gionee’s proprietary Amigo OS. You would find a fingerprint sensor built into the devices home button. A 3450mAh battery powers the device and it comes with a hybrid nano SIM setup (the second SIM slot doubles as a memory card slot).
On the other hand, the S10B a mid-ranger in every way comes equipped with a 5.5-inch (1920× 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display. Under the hood, you will find a 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali T860 GPU. The device runs on 4GB RAM, 64GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with micro SD.
Gionee S10B also comes with the latest Android OS, Android 7.0 (Nougat) tweaked with Amigo OS. It has a Dual SIM support, no hybrid SIM here. For pictures and videos, the S10B is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, paired with a secondary 5MP camera. On the front, there is a16MP camera setup. There is also a Fingerprint sensor built into the devices home button and a 3700mAh battery powers all these features.
Meanwhile, the S10C features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera. The device carries a 5.2-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS display on the front. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 427 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU. The processor is matched with 4GB RAM, 32GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with micro SD.
Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Amigo OS is the S10c’s operating software. It comes with Dual SIM support and is powered by 3100mAh battery. The S10C also has a fingerprint scanner built into its home button. The S10B and S10C support 4G LTE, and have Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS functionality.
The Gionee S10 comes in Cherry Gold, Dark Black, Indigo Blue and Primrose Green colors and is priced at US$ 378 approx. for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. While the S10B with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage goes for US$ 320 approx.(regardless of the transaction rate, it is well over a 100k). The S10C with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage costs $233 approx. (well over 70k).
