The app itself is pretty straightforward, letting users name their Pill+, monitor its battery life, control who’s playing what, and link up a pair of speakers to play music in stereo. It would have been silly, of course, for Apple to only release the app on iOS, especially as the Pill+ is the best speaker Beats has ever made — a refinement rather than a redesign of previous products, with minimalist looks and improved sound quality.
Of course, this is pretty small-fry stuff compared to third Apple app on Android, which the company promised earlier this year: Apple Music. But while we’ve seen what appear to be screenshots of Apple Music for Android, there’s still no firm release date yet.
