New leak reveals HTC X10 will be announced by month end


The yearly consumer electronics show is underway and we have seen a lot of announcements by tech companies. The CES almost always sets the trend for the first quarter of the year as tech companies will make announcements of their latest devices as well as futuristic devices that are in the works. HTC is one of the tech companies that are expected to announce a device during the event; however, it seems the company will be doing so at a later date when the Consumer Electronic Show is long over. This news comes from the serial leaker, Evan Blass (@evleaks) of Venture beat. Blass has a knack for getting such information’s and they almost always turn out to be correct. The device that will be announced by month end is the HTC X10, the sequel to last years HTC X9.

Going be the specs of the HTC X10, it will be considered a refresh of its predecessor rather than a significant upgrade. The X10 has its main upgrade in the camera department, coming with a 16.3MP rear camera and a 7.9MP front camera. On the inside, a Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, and 3GB of RAM clubbed with a 32GB internal storage can be found.

On the surface, HTC X10 carries a 5.5-inch screen with a FullHD resolution. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner and a host of connectivity features. How much the HTC X10 will cost is still unknown but rest assured you will get an update when we get a concrete information.

Meanwhile, our source notes that HTC has three devices planned for the first quarter of 2017. The first being the HTC X10, another codenamed the Ocean Note, whose name suggests a high-end tablet that will likely be water resistant. The third device will be the successor to last year’s flagship, the HTC 10 and it will be the flagship model for 2017.
