WhatsApp is a great app that allows us to communicate with loved ones, sell and what not. Yeah! But that’s not what you want to know if you are among the group this post concerns. So here is the news. Come 30 June, WhatsApp will be ending all support for Nokia and Blackberry devices that run Symbian and Blackberry OS respectively.
Well, if you can recall, last year Facebook, WhatsApp’s parent company announced its intention to end support for Blackberry devices but their plans to do so in 2016 was pushed forward until 30 June 2017 after Blackberry made an appeal.
The reason for ending the messaging app on both platforms is due to the inability of both Operating systems to support WhatsApp features that will be implemented in the future.
Users of the affected operating systems are advised to upgrade their OS to continue using the messaging app.
