Xiaomi has seen a fairly easy rise to the top in terms of becoming a major Android smartphone producer in their home country, China. The company’s expansion to other markets has equally been successful by certain measures. These positives are only possible when a company consistently outs smartphones that are great for their quality, durability and price. In typical wowing fashion, Xiaomi has announced one of their much-anticipated devices, Xiaomi Mi Note 2. There is just little about the Xiaomi Mi 2’s specs that’s not to love, the device comes packed high-end specs for a fairly considerate price.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes with a metal body, curved on both sides. On the front, a 5.7-inch OLED curved screen with a Full HD resolution. Mi Note 2 has a with a 77.2% screen to body ration. This means that the panel of the Mi Note 2 is actually flexible. Giving it an unmistakable resemblance to the late Galaxy note 7. That said, under the Note 2’s body, the latest Qualcomm SnapDragon 821 chipset with a max clock speed of 2.35GHz is built-in to handle processes and Adreno 530 GPU with a max speed of 624MHz. The impressive chipset is matched with a 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and a fast 128GB UFS 2.0 internal storage. Mi Note 2 has another variant that comes with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB UFS 2.0 internal storage.

For pictures and videos, the Xiaomi comes with an impressive 22.56MP Sony IMX318 Exmor sensor rear camera equipped with LED flash, EIS (electronic image stabilization), a f/2.0 lens and has the capability of shooting 4k videos. On the front, the device settles for an 8MP camera with a Sony IMX268 sensor, it has an autofocus feature and comes with a f/2.0 lens.

For connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 shows it’s destined for the international market as the device comes with a support for LTE network for 6 network types and supports a total of 37 bands (the 6GB variant has a two variants, one comes with a Global 4G+ and the other probably comes with a local one). The device has two Nano sim slot and also supports connectivity features such as; WiFi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and a Type-C USB port.
In the sound and power department, the Xiaomi comes with a high-quality 24-bit / 192kHZ DAC and is powered by a 4,070mAh battery equipped with a fast charge 3.0. The Phablet will run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat layered with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. The device comes in two colours; silver, and black.
Pricing of the device will start at $485 for the 6GB variant, don’t smile yet because this price is exclusive to China. The international version will sell for $520. The 4GB variant of the Mi Note 2 will come with a global price, pegged at $415. That’s all we have on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, as earlier stated, there is little not to love about this device. The Phablet is reminiscent to the late Galaxy Note 7, and it goes without saying that it can serve as a great replacement for anyone in the market for a great Phablet.
