Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 powered device


Just days after the launch of the more efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, which is touted to be 10 percent more efficient and effective than its predecessor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Asus has introduced the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 821 SoC on board, it’s no other than the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

Other than the aforementioned specs, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe sports a number of jaw dropping specs, which includes; 6GB of DD4 RAM, 256GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage; expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with a massive 5.7-inch screen with a 1080 (full HD) pixel resolution and has a full metal body.


For pictures and videos, a 23 megapixel camera, equipped with OIS, f/2.0 aperture, laser AF and LED flash is attached to the devices back. On the front, an 8 megapixel is placed atop the device.

Powering the device is a 3,000mAh non removable battery with 3.0 fast charging capabilities. You will find a finger print scanner on the devices back.


Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe will become available in August starting out in Asian markets, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Although, we will be seeing it’s other variants, the 4GB RAM/32GB and 6GB RAM/64GB variants of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe before this Snapdragon 821 variant. Note that the other two variants will be coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC on board.

As for pricing, all three devices carry a somewhat reasonable price tag compared to other brands offering similar species devices. The 4GB RAM/32GB native storage variant of the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe costs $500, while the 6GB RAM/64GB variant costs $560 and the 6GB/256GB variant costs $780.
