The number of gadgets being launched at Mobile World Congress is increasing by the day. The big players, Samsung and LG, launched their respective devices a day before the Mobile World Congress, this past Sunday to be specific. News on LG’s G5 and Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are still very much a hot button topic but we are beginning to see some interesting gadget launches from other phone manufacturers.
Gionee a well known brand here in Nigeria, has launched a new smartphone, the Gionee Elife S8, at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Chinese company touts this new device as the company’s flagship for the year 2016.
Furthermore, the device comes with a fingerprint scanner built in the button. Elife S8 comes with a 3000mAh battery, which should be sufficient for a full days use. The device also comes with a 4G LTE support for both SIM slots capable of global roaming. The device is pretty slim for a 5.5 incher, with a It measures 154.3×74.9x7mm and weighs 148 grams.
Gionee says the device will be available by March ending for $449 and will be coming in Rose Gold, Silver, and Gold colours.
