Newly leaked image purportedly reveals Nokia A1, Nokia’s upcoming device.

The Finland based company, Nokia, have being inactive in the smartphone market for a while now, their only activities have being in proxy through Microsoft and Foxconn. Well, it seems that is about to change as the company is reportedly readying an Android device for the smartphone market. The supposedly upcoming device is dubbed Nokia A1.

Judging by the pictures which was posted by our new source, the Nokia A1 will be coming with capacitive touch pad, and a seeming plastic body; there is no fingerprint scanner in sight so this device is not a flagship.

The details of this device is still very much sketchy, besides the fact that the device will expectedly ship with a 5.5 inch, 1080p resolution screen, a Qualcomm SnapDragon 652 processor, and with Nokia’s Z launcher.

The specs of the Nokia A1 firmly places it in the mid-range category of devices. As for availability, sources say that the device will be available this summer, that is between June and August. The price of the device is still unknown, but we hope it is cheap, for Nokia’s sake actually because the competition among smartphone makers have made phones with quality specs to be sold at a seemingly giveaway price. Considering the price tag Nokia slapped on their first Android which had normal specs, I doubt if they will be given any attention by Nigeria’s teeming Android population, if they repeat a similar stunt. Remember, it is still a big “if” in that this news is yet to be confirmed by Nokia. So, take it with as much grain of salt as you can.
